The deed gives date of instrument, names of grantor (seller) and grantee (purchaser), location of property, amount paid for the property, grantor's notarized signature, certification of county clerk, and date recorded.

Caldwell, the fifty-first Kentucky county, was formed in 1809 from part of Livingston County. It is named for John Caldwell. Princeton is its county seat. The courthouse burned in 1864.
